Thanks for your registration to the SAS classes offered by 1ST Consulting. Just a reminder that three SAS classes will start next week (3/13 -3/17) at State Library of Iowa and Department of Education near State Capitol.

Please note the following:

• Instructor: Ben Cochran, formerly an instructor with SAS Institute for 11 years, who is certified to teach over a dozen SAS courses. Ben is now an independent consultant and trainer who is also a SAS Institute Quality Partner.

• Teaching Style: The SQL class will be taught lecture only so we can cover more material. Other 2 classes will be taught workshop style so you can practice. Everybody will get a CD with SAS dataset etc. to take home. For Introduction to SAS class and Function & Array Class, you are encouraged to bring your own laptop computer with SAS software installed.

• Location: Due to space limitation, we have to use 2 locations nearby.

  From I235, you may take E14 St exit. Go south to the 1st traffic light and turn right to E Grand. The library is a few block away on the right hand side. The Department of Education is on the left hand side at the southwest corner of E 14th and E Grand Ave. See map for the exact location.

• Time: The class will start at 8:00 am. Please come between 7:30-7:50 am to check in and also for your breakfast.

• Parking: You may park at the visitor’s parking lot in the back of the state library building or the visit part of other state government lots nearby. You may also park along the street, if permitted.

• Supply: Lecture note, pad folio with notebook, pen, pencil, and marker etc. will be provided.

• Lunch: You will receive one lunch ticket for each day of your training except for Friday. They can only be used at Mercy Hospital Cafeteria. You may pick anything you like at the cafeteria. For SQL class on Friday, we will have lunch delivered to the training room.

• Breakfast/Break: Coffee and bottled water will be supplied all the time in the classroom. We will also have some refreshment for the morning and afternoon break. Light breakfast will also be provided.

• Evaluation: Please hand in your completed course evaluation form to the instructor after the class. Your feedback is important for us. Thanks for your assistance in advance.
